Lube Skids

A lube skid is a self-contained fluid station for a service truck or trailer, with tanks for new and used oil, pumps, hose reels and meters on one frame. This collection includes aluminum and poly lube skids from Stellar, Maintainer and Taylor, some with grease kits and an antifreeze reel. Construction, mining, ag and fleet service crews use them to change oil and top off fluids in the field.

How to choose

  • Fluids: list the oils you carry plus used oil, antifreeze and grease, and pick a skid with a tank or pump for each.
  • Material: aluminum skids weigh less, which leaves more payload. Poly tanks resist corrosion.
  • Air supply: most skids use air-operated pumps, so the truck or trailer needs a compressor.
  • Mounting: check the skid's dimensions and fork pockets or sleeves against your truck deck.

Common questions

Is a lube skid the same as a lube truck?
No. A lube skid is the tank and pump module. You mount it on your own truck body or trailer.

Where does a lube skid fit in a field service setup?
Service trucks often carry a lube skid along with fuel and DEF. See our construction and fleet and trucking pages, or oil pumps and hose reels for shop use.
