Transfer Tank and Toolbox Combos
A transfer tank toolbox combo puts a fuel tank and a toolbox in one unit that mounts across the front of a pickup bed. This collection includes combos from Transfer Flow, ATI, BCI, Fuelbox and RDS in aluminum and coated steel, including a split tank for gasoline and diesel. Service crews, farmers and contractors use them to carry fuel and tools together and keep the rest of the bed open.
How to choose
- Fuel or storage: a combo gives up some fuel capacity for tool space. If you need more fuel, compare L-shaped transfer tanks.
- Material and finish: aluminum is lighter and does not rust. Steel is heavier and relies on its coating. Finishes include bright diamond tread, black and spray liner.
- Pump: some combos include a 12V pump and others need one added. See fuel transfer pumps.
- DOT status: check the DOT status each maker states. Not every combo here is DOT approved.
Common questions
Will a combo fit my truck?
Check the overall width and height against your bed and cab. Some combos are made for a specific bed length.
Can I carry gasoline and diesel?
Yes, with the split combo, which keeps the two fuels in separate compartments.
