1000 Gallon Fuel Tanks
A 1000 gallon fuel tank serves fleets that fuel every day, farms through planting and harvest, and contractors running several machines from one yard. This collection includes UL-142 double wall tanks, a UL-2085 Fireguard tank, a single wall farm tank, a tank with a 12V pump package and a Mule fuel station with its own generator. At this size, permits, the pad and unloading need more planning than with a small tank.
How to choose
- Wall type: double wall tanks have built-in containment. The single wall farm tank usually needs a dike or berm.
- Dispensing: pick tank only, a 12V pump package, or the generator station for sites without power.
- Unloading: tanks this size need a forklift with enough capacity at delivery. Check the shipping weight on each product page.
- Pad: set the tank on a level, solid surface that can carry its full weight when filled.
Common questions
Will I need an SPCC plan?
Possibly. The EPA SPCC rule can apply when a site stores more than 1,320 gallons of oil products above ground in total, so one of these tanks plus a second tank or a few drums can cross that line. Related equipment is in spill containment.
Should I go smaller or larger?
Compare 500 gallon fuel tanks if space is tight, or bulk fuel tanks if you want fewer deliveries.
