Oil Storage Tanks
This oil storage tank collection is for shops, fleets and plants that store motor oil, hydraulic fluid and used oil, not home heating oil. It includes double wall steel lube and used oil tanks, stackable poly tanks and complete dispensing packages with pumps and hose reels. A bulk oil tank lets a shop buy oil by the tote or tanker load and dispense it at each bay.
How to choose
- New or used oil: keep them in separate tanks. Used oil goes in a tank labeled "Used Oil"; see waste oil tanks.
- Steel or poly: double wall steel tanks have built-in containment. Poly stackable oil tanks save floor space when you stock several grades.
- Dispensing: decide whether you need a pump, reel and meter now. Lube dispensing packages include them.
- Placement: check where the tank will sit and whether your fire marshal or insurer has rules for indoor oil storage.
Common questions
Is this collection for home heating oil?
No. These tanks are for commercial lubricants and used oil. Our fuel tanks are in a separate collection.
Does oil storage count toward SPCC?
Yes. Lube oil, used oil and fuel all count toward the 1,320 gallon above-ground total that can bring a site under the EPA SPCC rule.
