L-Shaped Transfer Tanks
An L shaped transfer tank mounts across the front of a pickup bed, with a stepped profile that leaves room for a crossover toolbox above the lower section. This collection includes aluminum and steel L-shaped tanks from Transfer Flow, ATI, BCI and RDS, some sold with a 12V pump system and some as tank only. Contractors, farmers and service crews use them to carry fuel and tools in the same part of the bed.
How to choose
- Toolbox fit: if you already own a crossover toolbox, check the tank's height and depth against it, or buy a tank and toolbox combo.
- Material: aluminum tanks are lighter and do not rust. Steel tanks are heavier and rely on a coating to resist corrosion.
- Pump: choose a tank with a pump system or add a 12V pump from fuel transfer pumps.
- DOT status: check what each maker states about DOT compliance. Not every tank here is DOT approved.

Can I carry gasoline and diesel?
Some tanks here are rated for either fuel. To carry both at once, choose a split tank with separate compartments.
