Auxiliary Fuel Tanks
An auxiliary fuel tank adds range to a diesel pickup by sending extra fuel to the truck's own fuel system. This collection includes the Transfer Flow TRAX 4 in-bed auxiliary fuel tank system, aluminum tanks from ATI and Fuelbox, and a Fuelbox tank and toolbox combo. Fleet trucks, service rigs and ranch trucks that cover long distances between fuel stops use them.
How to choose
- Fitment: fit depends on truck make, model year, bed length and fuel system. Check the fitment notes on each product page, or contact us with your truck details.
- Install kit: some tanks include an install kit and some sell it separately. Confirm before you order.
- Diesel only: the tanks here are built for diesel pickups.
- Bed space: in-bed tanks take floor space. A tank and toolbox combo keeps fuel and tools in one unit.
Common questions
Should I choose an auxiliary tank or a transfer tank?
Choose an auxiliary tank to extend your truck's range. Choose a fuel transfer tank to refuel other equipment.
Does the extra weight matter?
Yes. A full tank adds significant weight, so check your truck's payload rating before choosing a size. For larger tanks, see 100 gallon fuel tanks.
