DEF Pumps and Tote Kits
A DEF tote pump draws diesel exhaust fluid from a tote and delivers it through a hose and auto shut-off nozzle into trucks and equipment. Our current kit from American Lube uses an air-operated diaphragm pump with a meter, so it suits shops and yards with compressed air. This page covers DEF pump equipment for totes, not the fluid itself.
How to choose
- Power: air diaphragm pumps need shop air. Where there is no compressor, look for a 12V or 115V DEF pump.
- Tote fit: check the kit's connection against the valve or top opening on your totes.
- Clean handling: use the pump for DEF only, and choose parts compatible with ISO 22241.
- Containment: set totes on an IBC spill pallet to catch leaks and drips.

Do you sell DEF fluid?
No. This store sells DEF equipment. Your fluid supplier can deliver DEF in totes or in bulk.
When should I switch from totes to a bulk tank?
If you go through totes often, a bulk DEF tank cuts handling. Many include a pump and meter.
Can totes sit outside?
Shelter them if you can. DEF freezes at about 12°F, and heat and direct sun shorten its shelf life.
